Etsy Fashion Find: Pom Pom Vintage
June 20th, 2012 by BiancaA fashion retrospective.
Last month I introduced our new series featuring independent fashion designers from Etsy. Today’s featured seller is Pom Pom Vintage, owned by fashion and costume designer George Braya.
Pom Pom Vintage specializes in 20th century vintage clothing and accessories, including rare antiques. The shop’s tagline proclaims it “your premier vintage destination” and I couldn’t agree more. Looking at the storefront is like a step into a fashion retrospective. Amongst the plethora of retro styles you’ll find something from every era from the 50s to the 90s. So whether you’re a lover of 60s shifts or palazzos, or prefer 70s halters and playsuits, there’s a fun vintage silhouette to suit your favourite era.
When shopping vintage online you’re not always sure what you’re going to get. Pom Pom Vintage quells all fears with detailed descriptions of size and condition for every item.
And on top of that, you won’t be ripped off like so many other vintage sellers. Prices for tops start around just $18 and skirts and shorts from $24. And if you’re looking to splurge you can’t go wrong with a little 60s two-piece, like the one pictured above left, for $139.
My absolute favorite if I had the money to burn? The hand crocheted 30s dress below for $109. As one of the oldest items in the store and in such great condition, it’s a real gem for collectors.
