Paul & Joe’s range of feline beauty products are just too adorable to hide in a makeup drawer.
While function is always paramount when purchasing cosmetics, it doesn’t hurt if they’re also easy on the eyes. Sophie Albou, French designer and founder of Paul & Joe, continues to combine form and function with the company’s range of charming Parisian-inspired cosmetics.
This year Paul & Joe took their retro-chic packaging and high quality products a step further with a limited edition 2012 spring collection called “Meow”. The self-dubbed “cat-astic” collection of colors, textures and tones of the new range were influenced by Albou’s love for cats and the legendary sex kitten of French cinema, Brigitte Bardot.
I just love the literal translation of the feline theme. Kitty paw prints cover lipsticks; while cat portraits create eye-shadow palettes and adorn pressed powder compacts. An illustrated sex kitten makes a special appearance as a print on packaging in addition to two, season appropriate, floral patterns. Personally, I just can’t get enough of the range’s versatile blusher sticks, tipped with an a sculpted hat and bow-tie wearing cat!
As always Paul & Joe’s range of cosmetics are worthy of a proper dressing table showcase. With adorable packaging, bright colors and whimsical prints, they’re almost too delightful to actually use!
