Rebecca Minkoff: live from NYFW

Grab a digital seat! Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2012 collection will be streamed live at 3pm today!

Loved by everyone from the Gossip Girl cast to Lauren Conrad and Agyness Deyn, Rebecca’s handbags, accessories, and apparel can be spotted on average Joes and celebrities alike. She’s the ultimate accessory designer for 20-somethings and is taking the independent industry by storm with her return to apparel design.

While her show is still just a few hours away, Rebecca’s pre-fall show earlier this year is proof that we can expect a delightful Fall 2012 range. Little leather accents that hark back to her early days in accessory design were seen on everything from jodhpurs to the front of the oh-so-vogue peplum top (pictured above).

Rebecca, a open Francophile, claims her pre-fall range was inspired by Francois Hardy in the sixties, when straight lines and tough-chic tailoring were all the rage. With striking leather miniskirts and brightly colored drainpipes, we can only hope today’s show will be equally inspired.

Personally I’ll be looking out for classic staples like the calfskin loafers she debuted in January. There’s something to be said for shoes that look so comfortable your dying to try them on!
