Trend alert: stacked bangles

After seasons where the biggest trends in jewelry dangled from earlobes and encircled necks, this spring brings new focus to wrists. From the red carpet to the runway, all the trendsetters seem to be suddenly bananas for bangles – and we for one can’t wait to take the style to the street.

The key to making the bangle trend work for real life is to go big…within reason. Pile ‘em on and stack ‘em high, but make sure they work with your outfit! Plastic, woven, wood or earth-toned bangles look fab for day, especially with sundresses and minis. Save the metallic or sparkly stuff (like these House of Harlow bangles, below) for evening wear, where they can stand up to a slinky cocktail dress and towering heels.

However you choose to rock the trend, avoid mixing styles such as pairing gold bangles with wood, or plastic with beads. You want to look confident, not clueless!
