Cobalt is a non-precious metal with a similar appearance to white gold and platinum and is often used to make men's rings and other jewellery. Cobalt is a chemical element found in the Earth's crust only in chemically combined form. Cobalt is produced as a by-product of copper and nickel mining and is a hard, lustrous, silver-grey metal.
